Extension notice

The notice that uses the right to the extension. Polgarrow served it by email on 3 December 2029, inside the deadline and with no label, because it must bind. Once served, it binds Polgarrow to the extra year too. Email 7, Polgarrow to Kestrow · Chapter 9 · see Extension

Explained in Chapter 9, How to Break a Deadlock in Negotiation: New Variables, of Negotiation Skills.

How it comes up, in Chapter 9
Polgarrow had a deadline of its own. Under clause 2.2 of the current contract, it could extend the contract by one year, but only by notice given before the end of 2029. An extension notice is the notice that uses this right. After that date, Polgarrow’s safety net would be gone.
