Renewal cooling-off period

The 14 days after the first monthly payment, when a customer may end the subscription and get back the days not used. Say a customer ends after 10 days. Those 10 days of a 30-day month cost £2 of the £6, so £4 comes back. Terms, clause 4.3 · Chapter 5 · see Initial cooling-off period

Explained in Chapter 5, DMCC Act Subscriptions: Trials, Reminders and Exit, of Consumer Terms.

How it comes up, in Chapter 5
The initial cooling-off period runs from the day of sign-up. The renewal cooling-off period runs from the first monthly payment. The law treats the end of a free trial as a renewal, because paying starts there.
