For libraries and law schools
This page is for librarians, subject liaison staff and teaching staff who want to put the library in a catalogue, a subject guide or a reading list: what it is in a sentence, what is free and for whom, which addresses will not move, where it belongs on the shelf, and how to cite it.
Both are neutral and may be copied as they stand.

Solon Press is a library of interactive workbooks on English and EU law for trainee and junior lawyers, each a complete fictional case, documents attached.
50 words
English and EU law workbooks for junior lawyers, each following one fictional case, documents and tests included. Editions: English law basics, M&A, due diligence, shareholders' agreements, venture, lending, derivatives, bonds, restructuring, brokerage, security, crypto-assets, governance, property, leases, personal brand, licensing, SaaS, employment, litigation, distribution, AML, GDPR, consumer terms, drafting, negotiation.
Until the end of 31 January 2027 the whole library is free to read: part of it permanently and with no account, the rest with a free account. A reader who opens a free account by the end of 31 January keeps every edition published by then, for good. An account opened before 15 October 2026 (UK time) keeps every edition, including editions published later. From 1 February 2027 the rest is in the Library, by monthly subscription or a Year Pass, at the prices on the pricing page; a university can buy it for all its students, as the page for firms and law schools explains.
Part of the library is free permanently and with no account. The rest is in the Library, by monthly subscription or a Year Pass, at the prices on the pricing page; a university can buy it for all its students (for firms and law schools). A university licence costs €990 a year (£850 in the UK), plus VAT where it applies, however many students the university has. It covers every account on the university's email domain while it runs, and readers confirm their university address again once a year. The university sees counts only: how many accounts there are on its domain, and how many opened the Library this year. A count under 5 shows as "fewer than 5". It never sees names, and never a student's progress.
| What | Access |
|---|---|
| M&A Foundations in full: all 15 chapters, the training share purchase agreement, the glossary and the final exam | Free permanently · no account |
| Chapter 1 of every edition | Free permanently · no account |
| Every glossary, and every term page linked from one | Free permanently · no account |
| Chapters 2 onward of every other edition, with their training documents and final exams | Free with a free account until 31 January 2027, and kept for good by any account opened by thenIn the Library, or through a university licence; editions published by 31 January 2027 stay free for accounts opened by then, and every edition for accounts opened before 15 October 2026 |
A free account takes an email address and nothing else: no card, no trial clock. A record of completion for any edition, the free one included, is issued to an account, because that is where the test results live.
Link to any of these from a catalogue record, a subject guide, a module page or a reading list. They are meant to last; if one ever has to change, the old address will redirect to the new one.
Every edition follows one pattern: its home, its first chapter, which is free, and its glossary.
Each glossary term also has a page of its own, at /edition/terms/term.html — for example
/ma/terms/locked-box.html. Those pages are free and may be
linked like any other.

You do not need to ask. Solon Press, and Simple Digital Partners Ltd as its publisher, give libraries, law schools and teaching staff permission, in writing and in advance, to:
Reproducing a chapter or a training document in full, hosting a copy, or using the materials to provide commercial training needs written permission first (Terms, section 6): write to chief@solonpress.com. The training documents are fictional specimens, not precedents, and nothing on the site is legal advice.
For a group of readers at a firm or a law school, with one invoice and a record for each reader, see Solon Press for firms and law schools. A firm sees each of its readers' progress; a university or law school sees counts only, never names or a student's progress.
The author is the publisher. Cite Solon Press, never a person, and give the edition's address:
In OSCOLA:
For another edition, swap the title and the address; for the library as a whole, the title is Solon Press and the address is https://solonpress.com/. The year is 2026 for every current edition. Editions are revised in place, so the date accessed matters. Cite it as what it is — teaching material — and not as an authority on the law.
Solon Press is written and reviewed by a small team of practising English-law transactional lawyers, with private-practice and in-house experience, whose drafts are read by colleagues who specialise in the relevant field. The workbooks are a house product and carry no bylines, which is why the citation names the press. The longer account, with the firms the experience comes from, is on the About page.
Questions, corrections, a catalogue record to check, or a title you wish existed: chief@solonpress.com. One address, read by the editors.
The small print, honestly stated
Solon Press is published by Simple Digital Partners Ltd, Cyprus. It is not a law school, not an accredited education provider, and nothing on it is legal advice — the Terms say this at proper length. The deals are fictional, the lessons are not.
