Total return swap

A swap in which one party passes on the whole return of an asset it keeps, and is paid a rate in return. It works like a loan in the shape of a swap. A name to recognise, not traded here. Chapter 14

Explained in Chapter 14, The Wider Room, of Derivatives.

Chapter 1 and this glossary are open to everyone; the whole edition is free to read with a free account until 31 January, and it stays open to an account opened by then.
