White paper

The disclosure document that describes a token, the project behind it and its risks. Someone must publish it and notify it to the national regulator before the token is offered to the public or admitted to trading. Halcyon's listing committee admits no token without one. Definition: White paper · Binder §10.2 · Chapter 2

Explained in Chapter 2, The Map of MiCA, of Crypto-Asset Regulation.

How it comes up, in Chapter 2
Every other token is an "other" crypto-asset. These are the ordinary tokens people trade, including utility tokens, which give access to a service. Before such a token is offered to the public or admitted to trading, someone must publish a white paper and notify it to the national regulator. A white paper describes the token, the project and the risks.
