6.1Case management in one paragraph

After the Defence and the Reply, the court takes charge of the claim’s pace and price. It holds one hearing, the costs and case management conference (CCMC), which here took place in May 2027. There a judge sets every step to trial and approves each side’s budget for its legal costs. In this claim the judge also ordered Ravensett and Corledge to try mediation, in the order at Tab 7 of the Claim File.

Key point

The CCMC fixes when each step happens and what each side may recover for it. From then on, both sides work to the court’s timetable and budgets.
