8.1Cookie consent in one paragraph

An app may store a cookie in a customer’s browser only if the customer says yes. Two exceptions matter for Seedlark. The app needs no yes for a cookie it cannot work without. It needs none for a cookie that only counts visits to improve the app, if the customer can switch it off.

Every other cookie, such as one for adverts, waits for a clear yes. The cookie banner is where the customer gives it or refuses it.

Key point

A cookie fits an exception or waits for a yes, and saying no is as easy as saying yes.
